OUR STORY
How it all started...
Apostle Jarvis Parker served over eleven years as the head pastor of Ahoskie Soul Saving Station Evangelistic Center in Ahoskie, NC. After much prayer and fasting, God led Apostle Jarvis and Pastor Flora Parker to transition from his former assignment to build a new ministry. Kingdom Building Healing and Deliverance For All People (Kingdom Building) started in 2021 along the time that many other churches were closed due to the pandemic. When Kingdom Building started, services were held at the home of one of the members; however, with the rapidly growing congregation there was simply not enough space to continue in the home. Services then transitioned to an event room in a local hotel, the Ahoskie Inn. Every Sunday morning at 9am and Tuesday evening at 6pm services were faithfully held there for about 19 months. During this time Kingdom Building acquired a building and land with a vison for the future.
In 2023, through a kingdom relationship with another local branch of the body of Christ, God showed His love to Kingdom Building. Mercy Church of Ahoskie, NC, formerly Higher Ground Church, under the leadership of Pastor Ray Faircloth Sr. was transitioning to a new building and selling there old building and property. An act of love and obedience to God led Mercy Church to offer their old property for rental to Kingdom Building . At the end of 2024, the necessary provisions were made for Kingdom Building to acquire this property as their own. Kingdom Building is not only thankful to God for the great things He has done, but also to Pastor Ray Faircloth Sr, Pastor Ray Faircloth Jr. and the Mercy Church leadership of all the love and kindness they have shown.
God continues to bless this ministry as it grows into what He has purposed. One of the foundational pillars of Kingdom Building is to be a praying church; and not just meeting but in lifestyle. Prayer brings about a relationship with God and this ministry can only move into the direction God intends through that relationship with him. The children are trained to pray at early ages. We are a church that prays, trains, equips, and sends. We are led by God, so we're excited to see what He does next.
